DID YOU KNOW THAT...

THE PARK HAS MANY GUESTS?

Did you know that in the Hundred lakes park there is the golden eagle? Its peculiarity is the loyalty she has towards his partner whom she chooses and nests with for life.

This area, as its name suggests, is famous for its wide basins that jealously guard the many lakes created during the last glaciation, which elevation varies from 1000 to 1700 m a.s.l.

The flora is very luxuriant, rich of forests with many conifers and majestic broad-leaveds. You can admire distinctive landscapes such as cliffs, moorlands, peat bogs and alpine ponds.

The fauna is also very interesting and there are a lot of mammals in the area: from Apennine Wolves (Canis lupus L. subsp italicus), roe deers, stone martens, badgers, foxes, dormouses, squirrels and many wild boars.
